These two villages boast numerous historical and natural attractions, foremost among them Drena Castle, which with its crenellated tower overlooks the lunar landscape of the Marocche, the largest post-glacial landslide in Europe. The Rio Sallagoni via ferrata, which winds through the canyon at the foot of the castle, is also worth a visit.
