Brixen railway station is located on the Brenner railway in South Tyrol. As one of the most important urban centres in South Tyrol, Bressanone has the third highest number of passengers in the country.

Brixen is an important transport hub due to its location on the A22 Brenner motorway and the SS 12 Brenner road, as well as the intersection of the Eisack and Pustertal valleys.

Bressanone railway station is served by regional trains. International long-distance trains that connect Germany, Austria and Italy also stop here.
