Garmisch-Partenkirchen railway station is an important transport hub in southern Bavaria with five platform tracks. Around 65 regional DB Regio trains and several long-distance DB trains pass through the station every day. It is located on the Munich-Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Mittenwald-Bahn to Innsbruck and Außerfern-Bahn to Kempten (Allgäu) railway lines. The railway station is located between the districts of Garmisch and Partenkirchen.
